The Area
Remote countryside is suddenly accessible
from Bridge of Orchy station as many a Munroist will testify. The
station rests at the foot of the famous Beinn Dorain, which was
immortalised in verse by the Gaelic bard Duncan Ban MacIntyre (whose
dwellinghouse sadly lies in ruins just a few miles away). There
are well over 35 Munros within a short drive of the Sleeper, although
its not recommended to try too many on the same day !

Other pursuits, all close at hand, include
fishing, canoeing on the grade 4 River Orchy as well as lots of
options for the cyclist.
The area contains many drove roads and
bothies, as well as the famous Glencoe, Glen Etive and Glen Orchy,
all within easy reach.

The West Highland Way Sleeper offers a
